Dr. Georgia Karuntzos is an organizational psychologist with more than 25 years of experience in workplace health promotion research. Her research and practitioner experience encompasses a range of interdisciplinary human resources and health promotion research and evaluation projects.

In her most relevant research experience, Dr. Karuntzos serves as the project director for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA’s) Prescription Drug Abuse in the Workplace Technical Assistance Center and as project director for SAMHSA’s Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment multisite evaluation.

Previously, she served as principal investigator on the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development’s Work, Family, and Health Initiative. She has also served as co-investigator and senior advisor on several substance abuse evaluation studies examining the implementation and outcomes across a variety of contexts and populations.
